Export a DJ setlist: what actually lands in your prep
A tracklist on a webpage is trivia; a tracklist in your library is prep. Every export carries one entry per identified track with artist, title, detected BPM and the harmonic key, so you can sort by key for harmonic planning, or by BPM for building energy. The Rekordbox XML export is offline while we rebuild it; on Rekordbox, use the CSV to find the records in your collection until it is back.
One honest caveat, because it trips people up everywhere: an exported setlist carries metadata, not audio. Your DJ software links each entry to tracks you own or subscribe to. The export tells it what to look for; it doesn't hand you the files. That's also why every row includes streaming and store links (Beatport, SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music): the setlist doubles as your shopping list.
On Serato, Traktor or VirtualDJ? The M3U8 export is the lingua franca Serato, Traktor, VirtualDJ and most players read; CSV opens in any spreadsheet for show reports and radio logging; plain text drops straight into a YouTube description or tracklist post. And for listeners rather than DJs, Send to Spotify and more (from Opener) turns the same tracklist into a playlist on Spotify, Apple Music and seven other services without any DJ software at all. Got the mix on an old CD? Rip it to one file and turn it into a Spotify playlist.
Which export formats do you support?
M3U8, CSV and plain text. Each carries the timestamp, artist, title, BPM and Camelot key for every identified track. The Rekordbox XML export is offline while we rebuild it.
Can I move a playlist from Rekordbox to Serato (or the other way)?
For a setlist, yes: analyze the mix once and export it as M3U8 for Serato, Traktor and VirtualDJ. For migrating a full music library between apps you need a dedicated library tool; ryser.id moves tracklists, not libraries.
Does the export include BPM and key?
Yes. Detected BPM and harmonic (Camelot) key are written into every row, so your setlist lands in your DJ software ready to sort and mix.
Can I import the setlist into Rekordbox?
Not as a playlist file right now: the Rekordbox XML export is offline while we rebuild it. Export the CSV or text instead, with BPM and key for every track, and look the records up in your collection.
What about Serato and Traktor?
Use the M3U8 export: Serato, Traktor and most other players read it. CSV works anywhere you'd rather map columns yourself.
Is it free?
You get 120 free minutes every month (a minute of analysis per minute of audio, and if we find less than that over the whole set, the difference comes back), no card required. Text, CSV and M3U8 export come with Opener (€2.50 a month) and up, and so does sending a set to Spotify, Apple Music and more.
How do I turn a mix I heard into a playlist?
Analyze the set on ryser.id, then either export it into your DJ software, or press Send to Spotify and more. It comes with Opener (€2.50 a month): the tracklist goes to Soundiiz, and you confirm the playlist on Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport, TIDAL, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Deezer, Amazon Music or Qobuz. Tracks nobody has named yet (ID - ID) stay in the set. You can send records from your crate the same way.
Can I export just part of a set?
Yes. Hide the tracks you don't want in the setlist editor first (with undo), then export. Only visible tracks are written to the file.
