What’s new

ryser.id is no longer only the set you paste. Every DJ and every record now has one page of their own, the biggest channels are scanned every day, a wrong ID can be reported in one tap, and everything public is readable by scripts and by ChatGPT or Claude.

• NewOne page per artist. Black Coffee, black coffee and Black Coffee (Live) are the same person; they now share one page with links, the records they are most played with, the sets they performed and the sets they were played in. Old artist links redirect there.
• NewOne page per track. A record's original, remixes and edits are gathered as versions on one page, with every public set it was heard in and where in the set. Track pages lead with where to hear or buy it.
• NewThe library. Every night ryser.id scans the newest popular sets from Boiler Room, HÖR, Cercle, Mixmag, Awakenings and other channels and profiles with one engine, and publishes what it recognises. Library sets are marked as such; a full scan by anyone replaces the library version.
• NewFix this ID. Under every row of a public tracklist you can now report a wrong match or confirm a right one, with a suggestion if you know the record. Fixes are reviewed weekly and the page updates.
• NewREST API with a free key. Any account can create an API key and read every public set, artist and track as JSON: search by DJ or by link, the timestamped tracklist, an artist's page, a record's versions. Sixty requests a minute. Reference at /developers/api.
• NewMCP server for assistants. Add https://ryser.id/api/mcp to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or any MCP client and ask for the tracklist of a set by link, what a DJ plays most, or who played a record. Five tools, no key. Guide at /developers/mcp.
• NewHear from Ryser. A separate opt-in under Account → Preferences for the occasional mail about the founder's own sets and releases. Off by default, never mixed with product mail.
• ImprovedSet pages are denser and better connected: related sets, a link to how the identification works, and one canonical address per set so search engines stop seeing duplicates. Placeholder pages without a tracklist are kept out of the index.
• ImprovedScanning through the API stays a Studio feature and now uses the same key. The developer pages explain both doors, with examples in curl, JavaScript and Python.

Paid recognition now follows the money. Every plan and every credit pack runs a Full scan; a free account gets Full on its first set and Quick after that; a guest gets a Quick scan of the first 30 minutes.

• NewTwo scan tiers. Full scan runs two independent fingerprint engines on every segment; Quick scan runs one. The run page says which one ran, and the new-run page says which one you are about to get.
• ImprovedA guest run is a preview of the first 30 minutes, six tracks in the open. The paste box asks up front: a quick peek without an account, or the whole set on a free account.
• ImprovedThe pricing page has a scan row and a FAQ entry, so nobody has to guess what the free tier does.

Two kinds of row were being presented as if we were equally sure about all of them, and one kind was not being presented at all. Both are now on the page, marked for what they are. No track was removed and no count changed.

• ImprovedA match that one source named and nothing corroborated now carries an 'unconfirmed' mark. Measured against our reference sets, calls at that level are right about half the time, while a corroborated one is right 97% of the time. Both used to render as a small grey percentage and nothing told you which was which.
• NewWhen we hear a track but the key in the audio disagrees with the record, the row stays unidentified — but it now shows what we heard, in italics, as a lead. Those guesses are right about three times in ten, so they are not setlist entries and they change no number. They were simply hidden before, which helped nobody: if the name is right, one tap on identify fixes the set and teaches the next one.
• FixedPasting a link that left off the https:// was silently refused by the browser before the page ever saw it, on the dashboard and on the new-run page. The paste box now reads youtu.be/… the way you actually copy it, and a link it cannot use gets a sentence instead of nothing.
• FixedHow long an analysis takes, corrected everywhere. A 60-minute set takes about 17 minutes, not the 6 to 10 the site had been claiming: measured over 209 finished runs, and one in ten takes half an hour.
• ImprovedTrack pages lead with the record itself — where to hear or buy it — and keep the sets it appears in underneath.

Sets added through a SoundCloud share-link analyzed fine, but the built-in player quietly refused to start. Fixed, and every affected set was repaired.

• FixedPlayback for sets added via a SoundCloud share-link (on.soundcloud.com). SoundCloud's embedded player rejects those short links, so the play button did nothing while the tracklist itself was fine. New analyses now store the full SoundCloud address automatically, and all existing affected sets were repaired, so playback works again, synced to the tracklist.

Every row now tells you how sure it is and why, and the setlist is calmer by default: one clear status per track, with the full detail a click away.

• NewA why behind every row. Hover the status mark to see the reasoning: proven by alignment, one weak window, or, when a track is unknown, exactly what we heard and why we set it aside (the tempo did not fit, the record came out after the set, and so on).
• ImprovedA calmer setlist. The pile of trust chips folds into one status mark per track by default (proven / solid / weak / check). Want to see everything? Switch Row detail to Full in the setlist settings.

A tracklist used to be one merged answer. Now you can see who said what: switch between the audio providers, the community, our own fingerprint library, and your own edits, on the same set.

• NewFour source views above every setlist, plus your own edits: audio recognition, community tracklists, our fingerprint library, and the merged result. Switch to see which rows each source actually contributed.
• NewWhen sources disagree on a row it gets flagged, and the merged view can filter to just those rows. Each disagreement shows what we display versus what the other source says, side by side, so you can hear both and pick in one click.

Recognition used to hand you a name and a confidence score. Now, for the tracks we can, we fetch the actual record and line it up against your mix: if it fits, the name stops being an opinion.

• NewVerified tracks carry a mark. We pull the real record from two catalogues and match it against your audio; when it lines up, the identification is proven rather than guessed. No mark simply means we could not fetch a usable copy, never that we doubt the track.
• ImprovedCorrect tracks stop being demoted. Two recognition windows that agree, or a proven match, now outrank a single key estimate taken from blended mix audio. Measured against independent tracklists before it shipped.
• NewMerge duplicate sections in one click when the same record comes back with a false positive wedged in between, or switch on automatic merging and let finished analyses clean themselves up. Only the safe cases are merged automatically: a confident track in the middle could be a real blend, so those still ask you.
• FixedSections whose name we deliberately hide were still showing that name's artwork and platform buttons. An unnamed section now looks unnamed everywhere.
• NewAfter three analyses you get a direct line to the person who builds this: ideas, feedback and bugs land in his own inbox.
• NewAn about page that says it plainly: ryser.id has no team behind it. One person builds and runs all of it.

• NewYour sound: hours of music, top artists, your signature records (the ones that keep coming back in your sets), BPM curve, key wheel and tempo over time. Find it via the stats band on your dashboard.
• NewShare it if you want to: an opt-in public sound profile with its own link and share card. Off by default, and your hit rate and collection stay private either way.
• NewThe dashboard now opens with what waits on you: proposed names for your unknown tracks, answerable in one tap, and a hint when a set still has unknowns worth refining.

Free starting credits doubled from 60 to 120. We looked at the data: most DJ sets run 70 to 110 minutes, so a full set didn't even fit in 60. Everyone who signed up with 60 got the difference added to their account.

The platform now remembers what nobody could name, and treats every proposed name as a question instead of a fact.

• NewUnknown tracks now have a memory: when no source can name a section, we keep its fingerprint. If the same record shows up in another set the two are linked, and once anyone names it, everyone who had it gets asked to confirm.
• NewA proposed name for your unknown section is a suggestion, not a fact: listen to your audio and the match side by side, then accept or reject with one tap.
• ImprovedNames that keep getting rejected are remembered, so the same wrong label stops coming back across the platform.
• FixedSuggestions that failed to load did so silently; now you see it and can retry.
