Understanding credits

How credits work, what they cost, and how to top up.

All guides

Credits are ryser.id's currency for running analyses. Each minute of audio costs 1 credit.

How credits are calculated

When you submit a set, ryser.id calculates the audio duration and deducts credits when the run finishes. A 90-minute set costs 90 credits.

If a run fails before completing, credits are refunded automatically.

Free credits

New accounts receive 90 free credits on signup — enough to analyze a 90-minute set. No credit card required.

Free copies from public sets

If someone already analyzed the same URL and made their set public, ryser.id offers you a free copy of their result. You get the full setlist instantly at no credit cost. You can also choose to run a fresh analysis if you prefer.

If the existing result is private (only that user can see it), ryser.id creates a copy for you silently — credits are still deducted at the normal rate.

Topping up

Go to Account to purchase additional credits. Two options:

| Plan | Price | Credits | |---|---|---| | Pay-as-you-go | €0.05 / credit | Any amount | | Pro monthly | €7/month | Unlimited | | Pro annual | €60/year | Unlimited |

Pro subscribers pay once per billing period and have no per-run credit deductions.

Checking your balance

Your current balance is shown:

  • At the bottom of the New run page
  • In the sidebar footer
  • On the Account page with full transaction history

When your balance drops to 5 credits or below, the New run page shows a warning and a direct link to top up.

Admin accounts

Admin accounts have unlimited credits and are exempt from rate limiting. They are marked internally and do not interact with the credit system.
